Apple today updated its Logic Pro software for musicians, both for macOS and iPadOS. Both updates are now available to all users in App Store or directly using software update on your iPad or Mac.
The new version of Logic Pro for MacOS brings the following news
• A mastering module with a professional palette of easy-to-use audio editing tools allows you to deliver a finished mix ready for release
• Alchemy's Sample function transforms any audiosample for a malleable, playable sound
• Beat Breaker, a sophisticated time and pitch morphing tool, lets you radically shape and restructure sounds
• With new pan and rotate tools, content within a region can be moved independently of its position on the timeline
• When using supported audioThe device now supports recording in 32-bit floating point format.
• Sample Alchemy's free “Hybrid Textures” pack contains a collection of 70 sound presets and over 80 loops built from real sounds transformed into creative playable instruments
The update to Logic Pro for iPad brings the following news
• Deliver a release-ready mix with Mastering Assistant and its professional suite of intuitive audio shaping tools
• Record live to the Quick Sampler and create instruments and drum kits using the built-in microphone or any connected audio device
• Seamless interaction between apps like Voice Memos with added support for Split View and Stage Manager
• Select and drag multiple files at once from the Files app to quickly create drum kits or add stopwatches to a project
• Instantly try out samples, loops or instruments in the browser by swiping up or down
• Sample Alchemy's free "Hybrid Textures" pack features a collection of 70 patches and over 80 loops created from found sounds turned into creative playable instruments
