If it doesn't go well, it will go badly. This is exactly what Google has apparently decided to do now, which has started to actively fight on YouTube against users who use ad blockers like AdBlock in order to consume content without them. However, because of this, Google loses profits, which it has now decided to stop tolerating. And quite forcefully.

After YouTube recently started showing users using ad blockers a pop-up telling them to turn off the app to run smoothly, YouTube has now started to block ad blockers hard. While the previous pop-up window could simply be closed with a cross in the upper corner and continue watching videos with AdBlock and similar applications, now playback will be blocked after the blocker is detected until the blocker is deactivated.
YouTube has been trying to fight against ad blocking for a long time, but only now has it apparently succeeded in developing a high-quality blocker detection tool that it is able to deploy on a global scale. There is not much to be surprised about. Advertising is what feeds Google, and blocking it is in direct conflict with YouTube's terms and conditions. Those who don't mind can subscribe to YouTube Premium and consume content without ads. However, only time will tell how quickly the novelty will spread throughout the world, i.e. how quickly it will touch all users, assuming that it is already widespread in the world.
I turned off the blocker and turned it on again during the video, but so far it works without ads 😅
👍🏻 this is effective, I hid the window and the overlay via style -> display:none, I definitely won't pay
Apparently they haven't implemented it in the Czech Republic yet. Well, when they deploy it, it's not just YouTube. I didn't block ads there for a long time, but when they split my song with ads, I ran out of patience. Otherwise, I have an active filter to not block non-intrusive ads.
For 60 ducks a month paid via VPN, and it's solved :D I wouldn't pay more for it, but for those 6 fivers it's a great service.
Jojo, you can buy premium and the "yůůtubers" will screw your ad directly into the video anyway 😉 which I would probably disagree with Google. If someone pays without ads, fuck without ads.
Deployed in the Czech Republic, I met with my own skin, the uBlock plugin in version rc9 solved everything
For two days before the update to the blocker was released Safari, I used mosaic. Now everything is on Safari like before. 😀
YouTube already banned me from playing the video about 2 weeks ago because of the adblocker.
So on purpose: Who can last longer 😂. The problem is that for many years, there have been so many ads that it is unbearable and along with the growing number of platforms where you can "advertise 😁", this method has ceased to be financusable.
