I recently wrote an article about how thanks AirTag managed to save one dog and so I thought that even though our dog is chipped, a chip is something completely different from AirTag and that's why I ordered a case for AirA tag designed directly for the collar. Since our dog spends the vast majority of his time outside in the middle of the forest or field, he doesn't really like fashion collars, so I also tried a case for it. AirA tag that at first glance is just an ordinary piece of rubber, but on the other hand it serves its purpose perfectly. Come and take a look with me at the Case Mate Dog Collar for AirTag and also how dog localization works.
The Case Mate Dog Collar itself is essentially a solid piece of rubber that has a "pocket" for AirA tag and a pair of loops to attach to the collar. It is important to remember that the loops are designed to fit a 1″ thick collar, i.e. 2,54 cm. If you have a larger, thicker collar, then you need to either get another solution or, like I did, use the part used to adjust the length, which is thinner than the rest of the collar. What I really like is the fact that AirThe tag is extremely tight. Although you can easily insert and remove it from the bag, you don't have to worry about your dog losing it and it is even waterproof. Of course, it is not a waterproof solution, so you need to take the collar down when swimming. However, due to the construction AirYou don't really have to worry about the tag and the cover getting wet or getting wet. Even though it's just a piece of rubber, it's made precisely and firmly enough that you don't have to worry about it getting wet. AirTag, but not about the rubber tearing and falling off or anything. Plus, thanks to the rubber construction, the only solid part is actually the AirThe tag and collar bend just like before and it doesn't bother the dog's neck or get in the way. It's basically comparable to the lights that are commonly used for night walks.

Our Mac is of course chipped, so if God forbid he ended up in a shelter, at the vet, or was caught by the police, they would immediately call us thanks to the contact that contains his chip. However, the chip does not have a location function, so if he were to get anywhere other than where they have a chip reader, the chip is basically useless to him. How it works AirThe tag probably doesn't need to be explained too much and yes, it is clear that you won't locate the dog in real time to the nearest meter, but you will know in which area it is moving and you can go looking for it. In addition, dogs have significantly better hearing and smell than us, so if you call it in the area where it is moving, it is a bigancSee you later.

If you really want a GPS-based locator, you have to go for solutions offered by, for example, Garmin and are primarily intended for hunting dogs. These solutions are quite large and heavy and are only suitable for larger breeds of dogs. Moreover, their price ranges from around ten thousand for high-quality pieces and up. AirThe tag is of course completely incomparable to this solution, both in terms of localization capabilities and, on the other hand, in terms of size, weight and price. If your dog is microchipped, which 100% I recommend it, then AirTag the best way to locate it if you forget the GPS solution.

If you realize what AirTag and can and what can't, then this solution is absolutely ideal for you. For less than 250 CZK you have a quality rubber cover for AirTag. Of course please don't confuse AirTag with this holder or cover for professional tracking, as well as for replacing the chip that the dog has directly in its body. This is indeed a solution that can help you find your dog, but as everyone knows, the dog must be within range of the device's Bluetooth interface from Applu. If the dog runs somewhere in the middle of the forest, then you will only find it when it hits the first village, which is understandable. Moreover, the data is not in real time, so you need to take into account that you AirA tag can help in finding a dog, but it cannot be relied upon solely. In any case, if the dog does not end up where they have a chip reader, then it is actually AirTag is the only way to find him. I personally use both the chip that the dog has had in its body since its first vet visit and which contains contact information, and the phone number written on the collar, and also on AirTag. So if you want to equip your dog AirWith that said, I can definitely recommend the Case Mate Dog Collar Mount and for the price, there's not much to hesitate about.
