The Austrian application looks really great compared to the Slovak one. In addition to the possibility of purchasing highway stamps, it also offers information about closures, traffic jams and the general situation on highways. It even includes a route planner or a companion function that informs you of everything important that is happening around you on the highway. You even have the option to look at footage from video cameras located on Austrian highways and so on. In short, there is nothing missing here that you would expect from a modern application.
Austrian electronic highway stamps are valid for up to 18 days from the moment you purchase them. While in Slovakia they do not deal with the European Union too much, it is different in Austria. If you are a regular consumer / non-entrepreneur, then according to European directives you have the right to cancel your order and withdraw from it within 14 days of purchasing a product or service. You can do this electronically or by regular mail, so to be sure, in Austria they count on the fact that the letter can take up to three days and therefore the stamp is valid up to 18 days after purchase. It could happen that someone buys a stamp for ten days, travels through Austria and then withdraws from the contract. In order to be able to use the stamp immediately, it is sufficient to state that you are an entrepreneur when purchasing the stamp. Don't worry, they won't ask for anything from you, and you will only give up the possibility of a claim, and thus the stamp can be paid immediately.

Slovakia 2023 highway stamp
Even though the eznamka application's graphic design is more reminiscent of the 1990s than 2019, it works surprisingly well. Just download it to your phone and then select the option to purchase a new eznamka. Just select the type of vehicle, i.e. vehicle or truck, and the type of vignette. You can choose between an annual, 30-day and 10-day vignette. Then you enter the vehicle registration number, i.e. license plate number and the country in which the vehicle is registered. Then you just fill in your email, phone number and proceed to payment, where you pay online by entering your payment card information. Immediately after making the payment, the vignette will appear in the overview of your vignettes and you will receive an invoice by email. Purchasing a Slovakia vignette is therefore really easy.
