Auto brightness
iPhone, along with other devices, can automatically change the brightness based on the ambient light sensor located at the top of the display. Using automatic brightness is important primarily for extending battery life, as the brighter it is, the more power it uses. However, some users turn off automatic brightness because they simply don't like it, but ideally it should remain on. Whether you decide to turn it off or on, you do so in Settings → Accessibility → Display and text size, where you find the box at the bottom Auto brightness.
Reducing transparency
When using your iPhone, you may notice a transparency effect in various places. For example, just open the control or notification center, where you can already notice this effect in the background. Most users do not have a problem with transparency, but if you have poor eyesight, it can definitely be a problem for you, due to poorer legibility of the text. Fortunately, however, it is possible to deactivate transparency on the iPhone, simply by v Settings → Accessibility → Display and text size, where at the top activate Reduce transparency.
Turn off effects and animations
In addition to the fact that you can notice the transparency effect when using the iPhone, various effects and animations also appear at every corner. It makes the system look simply great, but it also has its drawbacks. Primarily, effects and animations can slow down older devices, and secondarily, they take some time to execute, meaning you have to wait for them to execute in some situations. If you decide to turn off effects and animations, you will almost immediately feel the acceleration of the response of the entire system. Personally, I've had effects and animations turned off for several years, even on a Mac, and the system is actually faster after that. To turn off effects and animations, go to Settings → Accessibility → Motion, where simply turn on the option Limit movement. You can also set other options here.
Higher contrast
We will continue to improve the display of some elements on the display. In addition to the fact that you can activate the reduction of transparency, there is also an option to set a higher contrast. If you activate this function, the color contrast between the foreground and background of the application will increase. Simply put, this means that individual colors will have greater differences between them, and thus individual elements will be easier to read, which will again be appreciated by people with poor eyesight. To activate, just go to Settings → Accessibility → Display and text size, where to activate Higher contrast.
Display size
If you turn on a new device for the first time iPhone, as part of the introductory wizard, it will ask you whether you want to use the standard or classic view. If you find that the view you have chosen does not suit you, for example, because it is too small or too large, you can change it at any time, which many users do not know about. Just go to Settings → Display and brightness → Display settings, where just tap to choose either Default whether Larger text. If you wait a moment in this section, you will see previews of how the system will look in individual views.
