Surface cleaning
It may surprise some of you, but how cluttered the surface of your Mac can be can have a significant impact on the smooth running of your Mac. So you can start by cleaning it up - for example, move individual icons to thematic folders, or activate sets by right-clicking on the Mac desktop and choosing Use Sets.
Application after launch
The speed of your Mac is also significantly affected by whether certain applications are launched when it starts. To check whether unnecessary applications are launched when your Mac starts, click in the upper left corner -> System Preferences -> Users & Groups. Hardware load check
One of the most important steps to speeding up your Mac is to identify the potential culprit that is unnecessarily draining your hardware. A utility called Activity Monitor can help you do this. Via Spotlight or via Finder -> Applications -> Utilities, launch Activity Monitor. Select the CPU tab at the top, sort the individual processes by percentage of usage, and if you find an application that is overusing your hardware and that you don't need at the moment, close it by clicking the cross and confirming by clicking Force Quit.
Deleting unnecessary files
The level of storage usage can also affect the smooth and fast running of your Mac. For this and a number of other reasons, it's a good idea to remove unnecessary apps and other files from time to time. A great way to do this is with the Clutter Cleanup feature, which you can launch by clicking -> About This Mac -> Storage -> Manage in the top left corner of the screen, where you can clean up individual areas.
