If this patent was brought to life, it would come Apple truly with a revolutionary product. On the other hand, intended only for a certain group of users. The Apple company has patented a pen that can detect color from the real world and then insert it into the iPad. Likewise, the pen would be able to capture the texture. So the resulting iPad paintings could be really realistic.

However, not much is known about the patent as such. In the description of the patent application it is written about Apple Pencil with built-in color sensors on the tip that can sample the surface of objects and detect their color. The patent images (you can see below the paragraph) show that ‌Apple Pencil‌ can be supplied with a built-in ambient light sensor, a light emitter and a light detector that can detect the color and texture of the surface. As usual, however, it is appropriate to view such a patent with a considerable distance. A patent for a similar function has already Apple has and dates to June 2020. And as you can see, two and a half years later, there is no speculation in tech circles that the Apple was going to come with Apple Pencil 3rd generation. We've had the second generation here since 2018. Would you like a similar feature in Apple Pencil?
