Musk's takeover of Twitter also appears to have a negative impact on the amount of hate speech. According to The New York Times before taking over Twitter EloneBefore Musk, insults against African Americans appeared about 1000 times a day. Now it's four times that. Hate speech is also increasing against the LGBT community. Before Musk, it appeared 2500 times a day. Today, it's 4000 times. The number of anti-Semitic posts has also increased by 61%. But Musk defends himself, saying that the number of hate speech is decreasing.
