The Orion spacecraft set a new record. This refers to the distance reached by a spacecraft designed to transport people from Earth. The record was previously held by the Apollo 13 mission and was approximately 400 kilometers. But Orion was at a distance of over 170 kilometers from Earth on Saturday. If all goes according to plan, Orion will return to Earth on December 434.
