Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz has died

Red Bull fans have had tears in their eyes since Saturday night. At the age of 78, the co-founder and co-owner of this iconic company, Dietrich Mateschitz, died after prolonged health problems. He went down in history not only by starting the production of the world's most famous energy drink, but also by investing a significant part of his fortune in Formula 1, in which the Red Bull single-seaters ruled in the last two years.

Rest in peace, Mr. Mateschitz
