Uncharted has become one of Sony's most important and popular gaming brands since the release of the third-generation PlayStation. Thanks to its success, Nathan Drake's adventures have gradually moved to mobile devices, personal computers and, more recently, even to cinema screens. The mobile project came to iPhones in 2016 in the form of the puzzle game Uncharted: Fortune Hunter. If you enjoyed the mobile version of the successful brand, we have bad news for you. Sony has unexpectedly announced that it is pulling the app from App Store. Along with the surprise announcement of the store removal came the cessation of in-app purchases and the news that the game would be removed from all devices for an undefined future.
Sony apparently wants to forget about the game as quickly as possible. All official trailers have disappeared from the company's social channels. Although the official announcement does not mention the exact reason for the closure, it is certainly a reaction to the game's extremely poor earnings. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune has only earned 88 thousand US dollars since its release more than five years ago. Almost two million players have downloaded the game. They apparently did not see the slightest reason to buy the items offered in the application. However, the game's imminent demise was already indicated earlier by the absence of any connected marketing with the recent Uncharted film and the release of the upcoming collection of games for personal computers.
