No battery lasts forever. JB Straubel, co-founder and long-time chief technology officer of Tesla, claims that electric car batteries should last 15 years. According to him, the life of the battery should correspond to the life of the car. Once the battery "goes" the customer should buy a new vehicle and not buy a new battery. But it is only an idea. This problem is still a few years away. Access and prices will probably change over time.
