First impressions of the locator Apple AirI'm writing this tag literally a few minutes after I got it in my hands, unpacked it and started playing with it. So don't expect any major tests or anything like that in the following lines, just what a fan would expect. AppThe novelty, which entered the portfolio of the Californian giant for the first time this year, and which can be described as the de facto first gadget from its workshop, works after a few minutes.

I've been carrying a competing locator on my keys for quite some time now, and although it doesn't offer integration with Find, I was able to get a pretty good idea of what it actually does. AirTag in this regard. I was most curious about its design and overall workmanship, because of the interesting products from the workshop Applu in a similar price range is, with a bit of exaggeration, like saffron. And to be honest, I have quite high expectations AirThe tag has met the mark with a star. In terms of design, this is a truly beautiful product that you simply want to have on your keys or backpack as a pendant, let alone a gadget that can track it and display it in Find It. White in combination with silver stainless steel simply suits it, and the same can be said about the shape of its body in pale blue. However, the glossy finish is literally a magnet for fingerprints or various smudges after just a few minutes, so you will enjoy polishing it in the future. How is it doing? AirI can't say anything about the durability of the tag yet - it probably wouldn't be possible to scratch it after playing with it in your hand for a few minutes.
In combination with original leather straps from the workshop Applu in saddle brown variait works AirThe tags are both very elegant and quite sturdy. The key rings surround them quite significantly, which gives their edges a solid pancSure, your keys will be a few grams heavier, but it's nothing extreme. They're also smaller in size. AirThe tags, combined with original key rings, are very compact and won't bother you in your pocket, unless you currently have your keys in it.
Pairing with iPhonem is extremely simple, both for models without U1 and those with it. Since I have 4 specifically availablepack, every AirI linked the tag to iPhone XS and the other on iPhone 11, so that I could have the best possible comparison of "both worlds". The locator connected to both phones without any problems within a few seconds, and it took another few seconds to "set it up" in the form of selecting the object to track. Once that was done, AirThe tag was already showing in Find on both phones.onech (so of course on each one the one that was paired with its Apple ID) under the object icon that you have set as a "tracking target" for it.
While for iPhones without U1 – in my case the XS model – you have to make do with just displaying the location. AirTag on a large map in Find and therefore you are not able to locate it completely easily, on the iPhone 11 with U1 you can rely on an interface that will lead you to it with an accuracy of centimeters. However, it must be said here that after the first tests, the range of the U1 when searching via this interface seems to me to be very short indeed – on the order of 8 to 10 meters. However, I tested it in an old house with relatively thick walls, so I would not like to draw hasty conclusions yet. However, if the range of the locator is similar in the open air, it will not be a great thing in my eyes. On the other hand, I personally belong to the group that will use the locator mainly to determine the rough position of an object, rather than walking around the apartment and looking for it with an accuracy of centimeters.

If only I had a locator Apple AirAfter a few minutes of testing, I would give it a very positive review. I really like the design, there is nothing wrong with the workmanship, it behaves exactly as it should in the Find app, and thanks to U1, you can find it very accurately with compatible iPhones. So far, I only see a small range in the search interface as a drawback, but as I wrote above, I have to look into it more in another environment.

I would have a "translation problem" here. Can I have one? AirTag paired with two independent (according to Apple ID) phones?
No, Honza. It is true that one AirTag = one Apple ID.
And you can't even share your location with someone else AirTag?
Need to share where the car keys are.
Share location AirUnfortunately, the tag doesn't work. Only its owner, or rather the person under whom it is registered, can see everything in their application. Apple ID it goes
Otherwise... quite amused at the opening photo "Petr-kliče" ;) :D
Thanks for the review and I would like to ask, do I have iphone xs, but apple watch 6, they already have the U1 chip. Is it of any use to me? according to
I can't find it through my watch, or I didn't see the objects category anywhere in find on my watch. Thanks a lot for your reply :)
Hello, unfortunately I have to disappoint you. Watch 6 will not help in this regard, AirThe tag is purely an iPhone thing (at least in terms of localization).
How loud is the reverb when you can play the sound? I'm thinking about buying and I have an XS :D
Hello, it's really loud enough. It actually surprised me.
Hi, I would like to ask one thing. If I put a Tag on anything and someone finds it, no matter where it is (backpack, wallet, bike), they will have it too. iPhone and it starts reporting that a tag is nearby so it will be immediately clear to him that something is nearby? So this is only for decent people who have no ulterior motives?
Greetings. To be AirA tag visible to the surroundings (visible = visible on the iPhone display), it needs to be marked as lost. Once it is not marked as lost, no one will see it.
If someone steals something from you, where are you? airthe hidden tag notifies the thief with the iPhone that someone is following him, regardless of whether it is lost or not. This is the problem that it cannot be used to trace stolen things, only to find lost ones where the finder must cooperate. Also, it probably doesn't know that if, for example, I leave the boys/wallet somewhere and leave, if the connection with the phone is lost, it will notify me that I left something somewhere that should be with me. Otherwise, real usability is a fact for someone who can lose boys in a small apartment :-D. I hope new features will come over time.
I plan to buy 4 pack... I can individual airtags to give to family members with another apple id, or all 4 will be assigned to me apple id?
You can give them to your family :) Personally, I have each one AirThe tag I'm testing is linked to another one Apple ID, so you won't have a problem either.
That's exactly what I meant, how do I find it if I don't report it as lost? And what is the difference between track protection and track search?
Has it arrived yet? Still nothing for me.. :/
Thanks Macoo That's exactly what I meant. I liked the idea of putting it in the wheel when it's straight Apple offers in the menu, but then it will still beep if I voluntarily move away from the bike at any time and if someone takes it, I will report it lost and the thief will still smile that I will let him know that he is being watched somewhere and there is a Tag on the bike. And I don't have a problem with the key and wallet (everything in my phone), so I'll wait for an upgrade.
Hello
So if you lose your wallet with AirWith a tag, it will just show everyone on their mobile: "Hey, lost wallet, pick me up, I'm here!" Or how they intended it? There aren't that many honest people.
So today it helped in the morning at about 10:00 and now I put it on the keys and it is very prone to scratching, it has been on the keys for about six hours and it is already nice the silver part with the apple is scratched and not that I have tested it but I will send a photo tomorrow how is he doing all day Have a nice day
ATTENTION ATTENTION, now (Sat 8:56) I saw that a pack of 4 pieces for 2575,- incl. VAT!!! I don't know how long it will last, so I just recommend it ;)
sorry, I didn't write where :D at the green goblin
Hello, can I ask when airI put the tag in my suitcase and I'm on the other side of the world, will it still show my location?
Hello, I have a question, I'm thinking about buying. Airtag. My colleague has Galaxy smarttag plus and when searching for a lost item it shows him in augmented reality dots around the lost item. Since I have iphone I want Airtag can also search for lost items like this? I also liked that the button on the Smarttag Plus allows you to perform various home commands, such as turning off the lights when you are away. It is Airtag this option too?
What bothers me personally is that AirThe tag does not have an immediate notification of loss. Here's an example: I'm walking through the woods, reaching into my pocket for something, and my keys fall out into the grass. AirTag. Why on earth doesn't it have a function where I go out of range of the Bluetooth signal and the phone doesn't warn me that it has lost contact with AirTag? A basic function it should have. Because if my phone would alert me about signal loss with AirWith a tag, I would stop and wind back and find the keys myself.
This way I'll find out I lost my keys at home in front of the door and yes I'll look at my phone and see where I lost them, but I'll have to go back or hope that someone will walk by in the woods with iPhonem ...
I have a question here. What if I lose my keys and someone finds them and the person who finds them is... AirWill Tagu take out the flashlights? Will he then go find him?
I have a question here. What if I lose my keys and someone finds them and the person who finds them is... AirWill Tagu take out the flashlights? Will he go find him then? That would be a bit of a disadvantage then
