There have been rumors about the Russians' intention to build their own space station for some time. This presupposes the end of participation in the activities of the International Space Station (ISS), which should happen as early as 2025. The intention to build its own orbital station was significantly strengthened in October last year, when experts from Roskosmos predicted that after 2025 some segments of the ISS would begin to fail. At the beginning of this April, however, the head of this agency said that the life of the ISS could be extended until 2030. So we'll see how it turns out.
