One of the greatest visionaries of recent years Elon Musk has another reason to be happy. His space company SpaceX has won a contract to produce a lunar lander for a flight to the Moon, which the American NASA is planning for 2024. In the battle for this prestigious cooperation, he managed to beat out the offer of another giant of our time - namely the founder Amazonat Jeff Bezos.

According to NASA, one of the most important factors in its decision was theance, which played in favor of Musk's company. Flights to the Moon are supposed to be relatively frequent in the coming years, which is why it is necessary to reduce their price to the lowest possible level. In addition, SpaceX is also playing into the fact that it is able to take off and land repeatedly with its rockets and modules, which significantly reduces the cost of space flights. NASA will pay SpaceX $ 2,9 billion for the construction of the lunar landing module, which is equivalent to 62,8 billion crowns.
The fight for the giant contract for the lunar module started already last year, when NASA released a total of 967 million dollars to three companies, which they could use for 10 months to develop their version of the module for a trip to the moon. And this is where SpaceX scored the most, as it used only $135 million of the released money, which convinced NASA that it was able to assemble first-class modules relatively cheaply. So there is nothing left but to hope that we will see a great result in the form of a reliable module even in three years.
