When Apple in June of last year, it introduced the redesigned Find application to the world, and as one of the main benefits it listed support for third-party products, which should suddenly become more usable as a result. He did not reveal when exactly this was supposed to happen, but a little while ago he revealed details regarding the date of the hypothetical launch of this news through a press release. 

Support for third-party products in Find is set to arrive next week, with the first third-party locators pairable and therefore discoverable in Find headphones Belkin Soundform Freedom True Wireless Earbuds, Chipolo locator ONE Spot finder and the VanMoof S3 and X3 electric bikes. In the coming weeks and months, the number of products with Find support will of course increase significantly. The only condition for integration is that certain technical requirements are met, focusing on both seamless functionality and safety. Products that are compatible with Find will then be able to be labeled “Compatible with Apple Find” – i.e. similar labels which Apple used, for example, to label certified MFi products. 

Functionality of non-Apple of products in Find will be very simple in its essence. The main key to success will be their Bluetooth, through which they will anonymously connect to the worldwide Find network, through which they will be traceable to users who have them assigned to their account as their own. The functioning will therefore be de facto the same as in the case of Apple products, although of course non-Apple For example, the device can be locked in various ways or marked as lost. According to available official screenshotBut they should be able to be called, for example – that is, of course, if they have a speaker. However, only practice will show how reliably everything will work.
