The population census has been running online in the Czech Republic for more than a week, but it is still accompanied by a number of questions and uncertainties. One of the biggest revolves around any confirmation of counting or, if you prefer, that you have actually counted after completing the online counting form in the mobile application or on the website. In order for people to be clear in this direction, the Czech Statistical Office has published information about how the confirmation actually works.

After completing the online questionnaire, did you expect some deeper feedback in the form of a confirmation of its sending to your email, mobile phone or anything similar, but nothing arrived? That's exactly right. According to the Czech Statistical Office, the only confirmation of completion is the one that pops up on your mobile phone, tablet or computer screen after sending the form - i.e. a message informing you that it has been successfully sent.

Here's what the census mobile app looks like:

"After the electronic census form has been successfully submitted, a successful submission message will appear on the screen. This includes, among other things, the exact date and time of submission as well as a generated unique code in the form of the number of the submitted form. By displaying the notification, it is guaranteed that the system has accepted the form for further processing,” Jolana Voldánová, spokeswoman for the Census 2021 project, made herself heard in a statement published on the scitani.cz website.

In the same place, you will find information that if you did not see the notification, the connection with the office's servers was probably lost, and therefore you have no choice but to fill out and send the form again.
