Hi, I know this is off topic but I wanted to ask for your advice anyway. I bought a Seagate IronWolf 8TB drive for my DS, and this drive has been making annoying clicking noises since new. I immediately complained about the disk and after replacing it with a new one, this disk had the same problem. This was repeated with 3 disk 8TB. During the next complaint, I already bought a 10TB disk, and it also clicks in it. But this click is significantly lower. I had this disk replaced again, and the 5th disk in a row has the same problem. I want to ask, do you think it is a property of the disk? or am i just unlucky? Thanks a lot for the reply

Hello, unfortunately this is a feature of seagate, most of their drives - they make "different" sounds (I own 3,6,8 TB - not one of them clicks for me, but a new defective one arrived for the 6TB) - look on FB in the group of the Czech synology group - these experiences are abundantly described there by many users, many users have shared their experiences with discs here
