New additions to the Philips Hue family
The lighting elements of the Hue product range from Philips have long enjoyed great popularity among consumers. At CES 2021, this manufacturer presented special switches for smart lights. Classic switches are often a problem with smart bulbs – once you turn off the light bulb in the traditional way using a classic switch, in the vast majority of cases it is no longer possible to control it from a mobile phone or tablet until you turn the switch back on. Philips decided to put an end to this problem and introduced a special switch that can be placed under the traditional switch. The Philips Hue Wall Switch Module is equipped with a five-year battery and guarantees the possibility of controlling smart lighting from the application even if the user turns off the light with a classic switch. The price of the switch should be less than 900 crowns, sales should start in Europe already this spring. Philips also introduced the Philips Hue Amarant outdoor lights at this year's CES, but they will most likely only be sold in the United States.
Smart dog door and shower with LiDAR sensor
MyQ introduced a new smart door for pets at CES 2021. The door, called MyQ Pet Door, can be controlled remotely using the appropriate application on a paired mobile phone, and the door can also be opened using a special smart collar. The door requires professional installation, its price will start at approximately 64 thousand crowns, and it is equipped with a system of sensors, among other things, to prevent the pet from getting stuck in the middle of the door. Of course, there is also an automatic lock that prevents unwanted elements from entering the house, and a built-in camera with a microphone.onem. iPad Pro may not be the only device that will be equipped with a useful LiDAR sensor. For example, the Lux Lab D102 shower, which was introduced at this year's CES, also has it. With this shower, you can quickly and easily control the pressure and temperature of the water with a simple gesture - by moving your palm from side to side you can regulate the water temperature, and by moving your palm up and down you can control its pressure. The system is also smart enough to recognize unintentional gestures, so the shower won't surprise you with a stream of boiling water while you're trying out new dance moves. Unfortunately, the manufacturer did not share details about price and availability.
