Although I have an MBP with m1 and 16GB of RAM ordered, if I were considering a full-fledged MAC PRO or iMAC, I would definitely want a full-fledged x86 processor, preferably a Ryzen 5900x or higher equivalent. I currently have this Ryzen in my desktop and it's a blast. I don't take apple that performance in spec. situations, but there are still many other people who also need to virtualize, work with different systems, etc. There I see a big disadvantage of their chip, maybe in a few years those disadvantages will disappear, but we'll see.
