If you belong to the younger generation, your parents probably told you not to sit in front of the computer all the time, because you will damage your eyes. Nowadays, working on a computer for several hours every day is completely normal. Of course, we don't mean to say that constantly looking at a screen is absolutely healthy. Each person perceives and feels this activity differently, but one thing is practically the same for everyone - poor tolerance of blue light. Blue light is produced by every screen and it is nothing special during the day, because the problem with blue light occurs mainly in the evening and at night.

As such, blue light can cause several different problems. In addition to the fact that it can make your eyes hurt or sting, you also end up with dizziness or a headache. At the moment, you have two options to choose from – either you will not work in the evening hours, or you will reach for a solution that will help you eliminate blue light. Not everyone can afford to just stop working, and this is precisely why applications were created that can automatically adjust the screen in the evening so that it does not emit blue light. Within macOS, such a solution already exists - it's called Night Shift. It should be noted, however, that this native function lacks several important settings, and therefore it is definitely worth reaching for a third-party solution.
Some applications that can eliminate blue light are paid - for example, NightTone and a few others. If you are looking for a free replacement for all these paid apps, I can recommend f.lux. This is the most used application in the category and you could download it long before Night Shift was added to macOS. After installing the application, you can set how the blue light filter will be turned on. Of course, the ideal is the automatic setting, when the filter starts to be applied in the afternoon and gradually becomes stronger. The application icon is then hidden in the top bar, where you can easily control the filter. The f.lux application offers many settings, in any case, the control is really simple, as is the functionality. Personally, I have been using this application for a long time and I definitely give it a try.anci – it can really help significantly with eye pain or headaches.
KoneAnother super useful article. Thank you!
Cydia what?? I'm dying to jailbreak
You must have made a mistake, huh?
This is your link https://justgetflux.com and where is the link to store 🤔🤔
via the f.lux FAQ:
Why isn't f.lux available in the Apple App Store?
We would love to make f.lux available for all iOS devices. To make f.lux work on iOS, we've had to go outside the bounds of what apps are normally allowed to do. Currently, iOS does not allow developers to access the Private APIs we need to make f.lux work on iOS.
Apple values their customers' feedback, so if you have a minute to let them know how f.lux has helped you, and that you'd like to see it available for all iOS devices, please send a note to:
What is the link to? App Store? The macOS version is available via the link provided. O iOS The version is not even mentioned in the article.
I'm sorry, somehow I missed the little thing about MacOS. I had f.lux on my old IP 4S and it was a great app. And while reading the title, I was glad that maybe... I'd rather read more carefully.
f.lux is a terrible s**t! I installed it 3/4 years ago after someone recommended it here. Since then I have regularly turned off the application every evening when it threw my display into unpleasant colors (very far from TrueTone – although you can set different intensities there, but none of it was ok), until I tried itonec after a year and a half he deleted it completely irretrievably..
I've been using it for several months and I notice less tired eyes, I don't mind the colors.
