Shortly after the introduction of new Macs with new processors Apple Silicon M1 we are they wrote about the fact that society also reacted to the release Maxon, which has released an updated version of its popular and respected Cinebench benchmark, which at least in the field of computers will offer a slightly better comparison than, say, Geekbench. Now the first results have started to appear on the website, showing how the new Macs actually perform.
And the results are really worth it. New 13″ MacBook Pro with the M1 processor, i.e. in the specification with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU and 8GB RAM, according to the results database, it achieved a score of 1 points in the single-threaded test and 498 in the multi-threaded test. If we put these results in context and compare them, for example, with last year's 7″ MacBookem Pro in the top configuration with an Intel i9 processor, it scores around 8,800 points in the multi-threaded test. Basic 16″ MacBook Pro then 1 and 113 points respectively. Previous generation MacBooku Air then in this test it achieves a result of 1 or 119 points, respectively.
As can be seen from the previous paragraph, the performance of the new processor Apple Silicon The M1 not only completely outperforms the previous one MacBook Air, but also the basic configuration of the much more powerful 16″ MacBooku Pro (at least in terms of CPU performance). The first reviews have also started appearing on the website since yesterday, confirming the above, but beyond that, it offers a more comprehensive assessment of the new Macs and it should be mentioned that the news receives only words of praise (except for the tragic FaceTime camera again).
- You can buy new Macs with M1 for example at Alge, Mobil Pohotovosti or u iStores
ProAre you still writing about the tragic FT camera? Can't you see who's calling on the picture?
You understand that no one nestAre you talking about the details of the fuckers in 4K?
It makes sense and is a wise choice.
I agree very much, the truth resonates here
...apparently he apologizes and explains EVERYTHING :D
...even if it's NONSENSE :P
This is not about apologizing for something, but about the fact that it is simply unnecessary, the web camera does not have to be of high quality
...what's the use of a high-quality, sharp image at work :D
Not everyone out there is just kidding, we know?
When otherwise the hw, system and transmission channel more than fully allow it, it is sad to have to humiliatingly connect a higher quality external website to an otherwise great machine for ≥30k CZK...
An FHD chip would cost Apple How much more? But that idiot would max. they shouldn't have wanted so greedily for a dollar a piece :(
What would they bait the customer into next time, right?
Of course, in next next year there will be a better camera!
I am very curious how today's genital rationalists will explain it ;)
After all, why has any iPad long ago had a better front camera and is actually capable of high-quality online video, when no one actually wants or needs it?
No, your argument is not a "drop" at all :P
Re: Sure...
And what do you expect from the fact that it will increase the resolution on a camera (sensor) the size of a pinhead? That it will be like an SLR or that it will also take the black people in the tunnel? Maybe they can put a better camera there, but it still won't capture the details on a document. It's similar to a war over who has a higher resolution, more mega-giga-tera-pixels in the camera, etc... simply, the camera fulfills its purpose abundantly.
And again, if all that's left for the snoopers is a dubious shot at the camera, and nothing else, then that's probably it Apple doing well :-P
...could not only read, but also understand, you would know that I promise at least the same quality as the iPads have on the front Air from 2019 and Pročka since 2018 = FHD, although still only in fixed focus. And so not the same HD shit that ordinary iPads still have for a few bucks. See. https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=10445&idPhone2=9638&idPhone3=10137
Honestly, if they would Apple was of no use, so at least in MBP it has long been min. FHD with AF, because it will make it easier to take perfect pictures of those documents that you are waving around pointlessly :P
But as I say, I'm very curious to see what you'll be up to next year Apple konereally implements :D
…damn :)
The main thing is that usually when you call someone, the connection does not reach such a quality that it is possible to broadcast in such a resolution.
This is another opinion... In the era of video conferences, the webcam is very important. The same people as you slandered 2 microphones, fullHD on the display and 4K TV. Progress is progress and to get rid of all those HD jokes :) and what would change the resolution? How about shoving a widelens from a mobile phone there? A wide shot and a nicer picture. The CPU has it, so why not put it there?
MacBooku Air then in this test it achieves a result of 1 or 119 points, respectively.
I don't believe that the basic MB air on intel with team 2 core cpu it reaches 4329 points. That cpu can hardly calculate 1+1 on a calculator...
And I agree HD FaceTime camera is pure garbage for 2020 with such expensive NTBs.
how often do you take selfies on ntb?
Are video conferences telling you something?
A nice example that some citizens hate not only some politicians, fellow citizens or nations. They also express hatred towards the brand or its products.
Unhappy man. :-)
All solutions are only GeekBancha video render (borders). As a software developer I will definitely NOT go through it. Precisely for these reasons that are mentioned here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji9j-JWbgAo
Virtualization? No, and maybe only ARM base OS
Docker? No, they have a problem with x86 themselves and who knows when they will finish running for ARM
Homebrew? No, a developer can't imagine working on a Mac without it.
External monitors? Yes, only one and only 60hz.
Ram? Yes, only 16gb, on kancBut not for development.
eGPU? No, and it won't.
So it's currently useless for me, and if the advice is to scold people that the mac is at work, then for me it's just for a sectarian.
Too bad Grom51 didn't do more research than make a fool of himself.
– Virtualization is not yet but it will be – https://www.parallels.com/blogs/parallels-desktop-apple-silicon-mac/.
Before Parallels or VMWare finishes it, CrossOver can serve someone - https://www.codeweavers.com/blog/jwhite/2020/11/18/okay-im-on-the-bandwagon-apple-silicon-is-officially-cool.
– DockIt will be there too, it's being worked on, the OS already supports virtualization, M1 will get it soon.
– Everything can be emulated via Rosseta. For example homeYou can start brew by doing terminal you run it in intel compatibility mode and then you can install whatever you want as if it were on an intel processor.
– There are two external monitors. See official specifications:
"One display with a resolution of up to 6K @ 60 Hz connected via Thunderbolt and one display with a resolution of up to 4K @ 60 Hz connected via HDMI 2.0"
– Countless tests have shown that 16GB of UMA is more than 16GB of Ram on a regular machine.
I'm an app developer, and this Mac is a hundred times more usable for me than any Intel processor. So much for the secretary..
...with the second monitor this only applies to M1 Mac mini, at M1 Air/Pro it is only possible to quote: One external display with a resolution of up to 6K at 60 Hz.
The reason is that the M1, as an essentially "upgraded" A12 X(7j GPU)/Z(8j GPU), unfortunately only manages 2 displays...
The question is what are you doing? 16GB is just enough now, but in a few years it may no longer be enough
Don't lie, there won't be virtualization Microsoft do not release Windows ARM with x64 emulation (and given how "fast" x86 WoW emulation is, it won't be any glory)..
That the comrades from Parallels are excited about MS
Parallels is also amazed by the news from Microsoft about adding support for x64 appapplications in Windows he ARM.
it doesn't say anything at all about being able to virtualize an architecture other than the guest (ARM).
And how is the 16GB UMA (if you mean the RAM chips glued to the substrate led by the SoC) so unique? I'm happy to be taught.. but marketing tricks Apple I'm not interested.
– It's a shame that Markus is stupid and confuses virtualization and emulation.
What Can't Be Translated?
Rosetta can translate an Intel-based bridge appwith, including appwith that contain just-in-time (JIT) compilers. However, Rosetta doesn't translate the following executables:
Kernel extensions
Virtual Machine appwith that virtualize x86_64 computer platforms
Rosetta translates all x86_64 instructions, but it does not support the execution of some newer instruction sets and processor features, such as AVX, AVX2, and AVX512 vector instructions. If you include these newer instructions in your code, execute them only after verifying that they are available. For example, to determine if AVX512 vector instructions are available, use the sysctlbyname function to check the hw.optional.avx512f attribute.
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_silicon/about_the_rosetta_translation_environment
— Saying that CrossOver is enough for someone is embarrassing, it cannot be used at all for more complex applications, let alone development tools
–I didn't say that DockIt won't happen, but I wrote what the reality is, and it's not there at the moment.
— Sure, I will buy a work tool and look for compromises, it just doesn't work, it's just a workaround that can't be relied on
— Some benchmarks are not appropriate in some cases for 32gb ram vs 16gb ram, someone doesn't just have a notepad and safari
I'm a software developer and a power user .. so much so that I know it's good for a secretary.
Don't write nonsense.
After all, this is just the beginning. Apple wants to replace the entire product line of ARM with procak within 2 years. Now they have released the least powerful for the entry price bottom of the machine range. In a year or two, there will be more powerful machines with more RAM, ports, and resolution. So wait and see.
On an equivalent MB basis AIR with intel you could do even less and what you write was also not possible.
So relax - a little perspective and thinking :-)
Anyway, I'm writing why it's unusable for me.
Or Applist what it does in more programs than it is Safari :)
Exactly, almost 8 gigabytes of data fit into 128 gigabytes of RAM on a Mac
Yes, because Apple RAM is different from normal RAM :D
These are my things…
…only if Apple ARM SoC MUCH better managed/used :)
No one denies that. You just can't get around the file sizes and sometimes those 16 just nestachi.
I'm with you. AirI have no problem. Air not a work machine but a NB for a family member for internet, documents and movies. The 16 will be enough for some time. And I think it is now interesting again for the price after a long time MacBook pro ordinary users. In addition AppI'm a huge fan of the CPU. It's only when you start comparing a laptop with very limited professional use and completely unusable for some things due to RAM with a workstation that I have to laugh :)
I'm not saying that Gen2 can already handle a decent batch (say 64GB) and then we can talk about the fact that it is completely without compromises.
It's photo and video editing that eats away at iOS just like everywhere else ;) the program will pull those files from somewhere and with today's resolutions it won't be from RAM with 16GB RAM but from the disk and then you wait...
Correction: sentence with Gen2 should be: can't handle

With M1, thanks to its INCREDIBLE OPERATION, not only by Intel standards, there was a truly BREAKING revolution in the PC MEMORY PARADIGM :)
Video editors are already raving about the M1. It produces incredible results in FinalCut. https://www.fcp.co/hardware-and-software/2338-real-world-tests-of-the-m1-silicon-macs
Try working in zBrush with 16GB of RAM. It's clear that you know everything about RAM usage and don't work with demanding programs where every GB matters. Prosimply dumb iSheep
