NASA turned on the Ingenuity helicopter during its trip to Mars to charge its batteries. Although the space agency reported about it a few days ago, it happened about a week after the launch. The helicopter's batteries were charged to about 8% in 35 hours, which according to NASA engineers is ideal for the flyby phase. The batteries will allegedly be charged in this way every 14 days. But this little helicopter will have to wait to fly on Mars.
