Although since the premiere of the system Dark Mode or if you prefer dark mode on iPhoneMore than a year has passed, but there are still a number of applications from large global companies that do not use this option. One of them was just a few hours ago Facebook, which had its eponymous app uncompromisingly in white. But it now intends to change that. It has officially started deploying Dark Mode for it worldwide.
According to available information, the dark mode for Dark Mode is currently only offered to a relatively small number of its users around the world. However, this number is constantly increasing so that as many people as possible can enjoy it soon. What is quite interesting is that the update is apparently being turned on on the servers Facebooku, which is why it is not tied to the latest version of the application as such. In other words, this means that any forced update of the application is completely useless in this case, as it will not help at all. On the other hand, you can already use the interface for activating Dark Mode on your phonesoneYou may have it too and you may not even know about it. You would find it in the Menu section, where you need to scroll to the Settings and privacy subsection. There you should see an option to activate Dark Mode, in two options – permanent and variadepending on the color of the system.

As for the concept of Dark Mode as such, it is unfortunately not entirely happy. According to the available screenshotbecause it is Facebook decided to create primarily from shades of gray and not 100% black, which is why dark mode will have virtually no positive effect on battery consumption on OLED phones. However, it is possible that Facebook After all, in the future, based on user feedback, it will decide to darken the app even more. Twitter, which initially adopted Dark Mode in the same way, was also "forced" to take the same step in the past.
I don't have the dark mode option there yet..
Personally, I don't even use Dark mode in iosThe black background is quite painful for the eyes.
He decides during the day, but in the evening or it's better at night.
So again, I only use dark mode everywhere. It hurt my eyes... ;-) So it's good that we have a choice :-)
Pavel is probably using a device with an LCD display... I also used a white one on the 6s, but it's much better on the Xs with OLED ;)
It bothers me too, especially oreto because when I go through Internet browsers, white jumps there, it's unpleasant... when will it not be possible to have everything in black, dark mode will be useless for me
The reason why companies don't use 100% black is OLED smearing, I didn't know about this before buying the iPhone 11 pro. If there is a bad combination of gray and black next to each other, it doesn't look very good when moving. When you invoke multitasking, you can sometimes notice that the black in the apps turns gray, I think that's how it is Apple set up exactly because of this problem. But what seems strange to me is that everywhere OLED is proclaimed to be better than a classic LCD panel, and at the same time it suffers from this serious display defect, regardless of burn-in.
How did you come up with that?
I think so because sometimes OLED smearing can be annoying and I work in this industry. Unfortunately, OLED displays have black pixels turned off to save battery, if they suddenly turn gray, they have a delay in turning on and it creates purple spots when moving. Try the dark mode settings - set the brightness to about 1/4, scroll up and down and notice the edges between the black, I think that's why YouTube and some software designers don't use it 100% black.

You could also do an article about it.
Or in apple musicif you have a song in the bar at the bottom and you browse the application (for example, search) you have it in the background 100% black. If you click on a song at the bottom of the bar, you may notice that the previous screen turns gray, and then if you slide your finger down on the song (again, minipaint into the bar) watch how the color gradually changes back to 100% black. These design elements certainly have, in addition to aesthetic significance, also the cause of OLED smearing.
I got it iPhone X 2,5 years and I don't have anything burned anywhere. The mistake must be somewhere else 😉
Static image, burned into the LCD too... I have dozens of burned out TN monitors at work :-D OLED is nice to look at, I use them on my phoneoneI've had it for several years and never had it burn out. Anyway, great brightness and static image, both LCD and OLED burn out.
The problem is that the wise already Facebook I'm not using it today.
Yes, I use Instagram! lol
I uploaded a screen. This is how it looks https://imgur.com/a/f3XP3dc personally I have it on all the time in dark mode
So waiting for "dark mode" for such a long time and I get "grey mode", great :D
Hi guys, when will dark mode be available? Facebook?
I gave birth to the author of the article, I know the only session of the implementation of Dark Mode. Black is aggressive to my eyes, too much contrast with the text. Defending that the black will kill the flashlight is a very nerdy opinion. In reality, it will not be such a savings, and the appearance and usability of the website is much more important. Only a few people who have read something about these displays are warm to their hearts because of the feeling of lower consumption. ... Even cars could have lower air resistance, but most people probably wouldn't want to drive with that rocket.
KoneI have a reasonable opinion on this topic. My eyes, and therefore my health, come first – everything else is completely irrelevant. Even if the "black" saves 50% of the battery, I don't care.
If you read regularly Letem Světem Applem so you would definitely come across an article where they tried the difference when their site is in dark mode and "white" mode...
Of course, I don't dispute the opinion that it's better for the eyes - I agree with that, BUT it also saves battery ;)
Kubo, I don't question the flashlight :-) You probably responded to me by mistake :-)

Not only that 😃
I don't have Dark Mode
