[Update]: E3 organizers have also officially confirmed the cancellation.

The coronavirus is affecting the functioning of the current world much more than we probably expected a few weeks ago. Millions of people are heading into quarantine, many institutions are closed, others offer only limited operations. In the Czech Republic, starting today, the authorities closed schools and banned all events where more than 100 people would gather. A number of technology fairs have already succumbed to the coronavirus, including the beloved Electronic Entertainment Expo, also known as E3.

If you're a fan of video games, you're definitely no stranger to the E3 gaming fair. This is probably the most famous game fair in the world, which is very often used by game studios or console manufacturers to reveal their innovations in the form of games or new generations of game accessories or consoles. In the past, for example, several parts of Assassin's Creed or Battlefield have premiered here. This year's edition, which was supposed to take place in Los Angeles between June 9 and 11, was preceded by great gaming expectations. However, due to the coronavirus epidemic, more and more game studios have started to withdraw from E3 in recent weeks, which led the organizers of the fair to cancel it today.

The organizers have not yet officially informed the world about the cancellation, but the studios that were supposed to attend the fair have already announced on their social networks that their fate is sealed for this year and fans who were going to E3 should start canceling their flights and accommodation in Los Angeles. An official statement from the organizers of the fair can then be expected within a few hours, which will completely kill any hopes of chaos from the developers. The cancellation of E3 will unfortunately be a blow not only for console and PC gamers, but also for mobile gaming on the platform iOS and Android. In recent years, it has become a tradition for developers to reveal their mobile creations, often based on magnificent computer models.
