The InSight probe landed on Mars in 2018. Since then, according to NASA, it has recorded 450 earthquakes that would correspond to about 3 and 4 on the Richter scale, so there is more seismic activity there than on the Moon. There is no evidence that there are tectonic plates on Mars, at the boundaries of which earthquakes occur here. "Mars quakes" appear to be caused by cooling and contractions. There is an opinion that there is magma under the surface of Mars, the cooling of which is caused by the aforementioned contractions.
