Powered by the Intel J4005 dual-core processor, the storage can TS-251D use as a smart solution with the app from QNAP AI photo management engine, QuMagie, which leverages Intel® OpenVINO™ to accelerate AI image recognition while optimizing photo management. The TS-4D's 251K media transcoding and streaming capabilities bring users an excellent and satisfying multimedia experience across devices. The TS-251D also offers a PCIe slot to expand its key features.
This model is equipped with a dual-core Intel® Celeron® J4005 2,0GHz processor (with a boost up to 2,7GHz), DDR4 RAM with a capacity of up to 8GB, one Gigabit LAN port and support for SATA 6Gb/s drives. The TS-251D offers reliable read and write speeds and Intel® AES-NI 256 hardware-accelerated encryption to secure sensitive and confidential data on network NAS storage. The TS-251D also supports Snapshots, allowing users to quickly restore data in the event of accidental deletion or modification or a ransomware attack.

The TS-251D's App Center provides a variety of productivity tools, including: QmailAgent for central management of multiple email accounts, Notes Station 3 for greater efficiency in collaborative note-taking and workgroups, Qfiling for workflow automation and improved efficiency and productivity, and Qsirch for quick file search. A range of streaming apps, including Cinema28 and Qmedia, bring users a smooth multimedia experience through various streaming protocols, and the Media Console integrates all QTS multimedia apps into one app for central management of all multimedia apps. Users can also use the RM-IR004 remote control from QNAP, sold separately, with the QButton app and customize button functions for easy operation.
