If you are a fan of the legendary iOS Tetris Premium, Tetris Blitz and Tetris 2011, we have some very bad news for you. This EA game series, the first parts of which were released on iPhone watched immediately after his performance, namely in App Store will soon end. At least that's according to the announcement that EA included with the latest update for the aforementioned trio.

According to the announcement, EA intends to "retire" the three games on April 21, 2020, not by ending support for the individual applications, but by directly removing them from the App Store and shutdown. After this date, the games should no longer work, at least according to the developers, and therefore it is necessary to use all purchases made through microtransactions in the applications by this date. Once users do not do so, they will simply no longer enjoy their paid content.

EA's decision to end the lives of the trio of "Tetris" comes as a bolt from the blue. Few would have expected that games, which can without exaggeration be described as the queens of their genre, would suddenly meet such a cruel fate - all the more so when they are still very popular and played among players. Unfortunately, what EA leads to the end of this game series is in the stars, because it has not yet published any comment or explanation for its decision.

We can only hope that EA reconsiders its decision to end the games completely and the only thing they take away from them is support. While this wouldn't guarantee their functionality forever, it would extend the life of this game series. miniAt least for the next few months or years. Whether something similar will happen or not, only time will tell.
