However, it is important to note that these are only high-profile cases and there are hundreds and thousands of similar incidents happening around the world. One of them happened in Florida, where Apple Watch saved the life of 74-year-old Roy Robinson of Lake Worth. His watch alerted him to atrial fibrillation, one of many forms of cardiac arrhythmia. Mr. Robinson was visiting family in Baltimore and was supposed to pick up his granddaughter from school with his wife, Dale. But after climbing a few stairs, he felt nauseous, could not catch his breath, and at that very moment he received a notification that his smartwatch had detected atrial fibrillation. According to Roy, he had no idea what kind of atrial fibrillation he was having. oneThe power of attorney is in question, but at his son's insistence he agreed to be examined in the emergency room.

"After such a strenuous operation, I rested and thought that it was probably nothing serious. But the watch sent me frequent notifications, like once an hour, where it said something about atrial fibrillation. I had no idea what it was, so I looked up the term on the internet. First we finished Thanksgiving price and then my son told me he was going to take me to the hospital. Doctors, nurses, interns and even other patients came to see me. Everyone wanted to see the guy whose life they had saved Apple Watch. I think I became a bit of a celebrity in the hospital," Roy remarked with a smile. Understandably, he underwent an EKG and spent some time in the hospital. In any case, this is further proof that the Apple Watch is a serious life saver and a necessary assistant. We'll see if another similar story pops up soon, but it wouldn't be the first or the last.
