While just a few weeks ago, the vast majority of Apple fans probably wouldn't have thought that this year's iPhones would be called anything other than 11 and 11 R, today everything is different. A few weeks ago, speculation about the name "Pro" for premium models, which was subsequently confirmed by several independent sources. We also received confirmation today from agency sources Bloomberg, which has been among the most accurate in this regard for many years. Its confirmation can therefore be taken as a de facto premature official revelation of the name Applem.

Resources Bloombergu confirmed that premium models will receive the designation Pro and so they will be called iPhone 11 ProUnfortunately, it doesn't say whether the larger model will get the name "Max” or “Plus”, or whether there will no longer be premium models Apple distinguish in names, as it does for example in MacBooků Pro or iPads ProThe successor to the iPhone XR will then be named iPhone 1 Thanks to the implementation of the new nomenclature of Apple phones, it will be possible to Apple next year, it will be easy to continue with these names, which was quite difficult last year due to the iPhones 8 and X, which significantly “broken” the existing nomenclature. In addition AppThanks to the new names, users themselves will probably also be relieved, as it will be much easier for them to navigate its model range.

It's the names that caused perhaps even more discussion about iPhones last year than the improvements brought by the latest models. Many apple lovers asked, for example, what exactly the abbreviation XR means or why Apple decided to cancel the name “Plus” and use “Max". Name iPhone XS Max It didn't really appeal to many people at first. Hopefully this year will be different in this regard and the names chosen will also be to the taste of the users.
