Such surprises from Google for various occasions are not unusual, but this year is the first ever multiplayer.
This year's Halloween Doodle, which will be included for a limited time Google search engine, is the first ever multiplayer interactive online game that you can play in this style. Google offers it to players with significant support from Google Cloud. The main characters in the game are ghosts – a green and pink team, who hunt for fire flames in a Halloween-themed platformer. But there is one small catch: the ghosts from the rival team are very interested in the flames you catch. Your task will be to safely transport the flames “to the house” – you and your team, made up of players from all over the world, have only two minutes to do this.

Ghosts who manage to collect the most flames will receive special superpowers as a bonus, such as extra speed, night vision and many more. When you decide to play, you can either start the game with random teammates and opponents, or invite up to seven friends or family members to it using a special private link. Playing in multiplayer mode is enabled by Google Cloud Platform with integrated Open Match.
