Over the past few years Apple significantly improved the water resistance of its iPhones. The only thing they lack so far is the possibility of reliable control in the event that it is raining or your hands are wet. But even that could change drastically in the future.  Apple has patented a technology that will make it easier for users to use iPhone even in a humid environment with a wet display.

The problem so far is that even a single drop of water can be perceived as a simple tap with a finger, which of course can create considerable problems - whether it's unwanted "touches" or the absolute non-functionality of any tap. Apple should provide a solution in the form of analyzing the user input on the display. This should be done by evaluating whether it was really a finger or water. Everything would work on the basis of a sophisticated algorithm that would take care of everything and as mentioned above, we would be able to use iPhone for example, even in heavy rain. Although one problem is eliminated – dampness Home Button – took care of the function Face ID, the advent of this technology would be a huge benefit and would certainly please many of us.

Unfortunately, not every patent from Applu will see the light of day and it is not at all clear whether this project will actually be implemented. However, hopefully we will actually see this innovation in the future. It would take the touch control of smartphones to a whole new level.
