Comic game adaptations are an excellent way to get to know your favorite superhero characters even more. Marvel Comics has in store App Store by a wide range of different treatments, among which we can mention the ingenious feat of Marvel Strike Force or Contest of Champions. The latest addition to this barrel was provided by the studio Nexon Company with its title Marvel Battle Lines. It is a card battle game where you pit your superhero cards against your oponento. Of course, the player who has better and stronger cards wins. The idea of the overall course of the game seems too simple, but behind this fact there are much more thoughtful options and a fantastic story.

The plot takes us into the classic fight between heroes and villains, worked out by Alex Irvine, one of the authors working in Marvel Comics. Between individual missions and game levels, we get to know an interesting storyline, which is drawn in the form of fantastic drawings. It is essentially a classic comic book in virtual processing, with which we can scroll between fights with the enemy and learn more about the story as well as about the individual heroes.
The graphic processing of the drawings is really excellent. The game will feature classic characters from groups such as Avengers, X-Men, Defenders or Guardians of Galaxy.

The gameplay itself takes place on the playing platform, which is made up of twelve squares. You stand on one side of the board and your opponent on the other. Your goal is to defeat the enemy by tactically placing playing cards on the board and then attacking. Marvel Battle Lines offers a traditional single-player campaign with a story, but if you prefer a multiplayer game, you will definitely be pleased with the possibility of PvP matches. This puts you up against other real players in real time, which is much more challenging than playing against the computer.
The gameplay is relatively difficult at first, but the game tutorial will help you through the initial battles.
In a recent statement, Nexon confirmed that over time we should see new cards, special time-limited challenges and limited events in the game. Comic book fans can therefore look forward to the next batch of well-known heroes and their new adventures. The title probably won't match the popularity of other games under the Marvel brand, but in addition to action and adventure, Battle Lines represents a welcome departure from the usual genre.
