I won't lie to you. On Touch ID I have become very accustomed to it over the past few years and have come to love it. It was very convenient, fast and I have never used it before.oneconsidered intuitive in the past. However, since this technology is miniat least for products from AppWith the trio of recently introduced iPhones on the decline, it was time to accept this fact and start using its alternative. Face ID, which is supposed to be much better in many ways. And it really is, but not in everything.

Although I was on Touch ID accustomed to, get used to Face ID was not a problem at all. The face as a password is a really great idea that will save you from touching your phone more than once. In my opinion, everything also works much more reliably and faster. I don't have any problems even when wearing sunglasses or when my jacket is buttoned up almost to my nose and I also protect myself from the cold with a hood on my head. Even in such cases, I Face ID recognizes it without any problem. U Touch ID But I definitely couldn't enjoy such a luxury in some situations. It only took a little dirt, moisture or a sweaty finger to get it to work and there was a problem. I also hated the moments when I had gloves on and had to take my thumb out to unlock it. Of course, you can also open the phone with a code without any problems. Face ID but it is simply faster and much more pleasant to use.

There is in the car. Face ID nut

Touch ID but I found it much more convenient, for example in the car, where I could unlock my phone much faster by using it, which was attached to the air vent. Face ID but the same action is quite a problem, because you really don't want to lean more towards the center of the car while driving so that its sensors can detect you. If I didn't almost always have a girlfriend with the phone code at hand, I would often be at a loss in these situations. But I'm definitely not talking about "texting" or similar shenanigans behind the wheel, but for example about starting the navigation that you already have set up, but you need to start it manually after unlocking the phone. And as it happens, you almost always notice that the navigation is not working after only tens or hundreds of meters.

Unlocking via fingerprint is much more useful in situations where you just want to quickly check something on your phone lying nearby. While with Touch ID just put your finger on it, Face ID you need to pick up the phone and look at it, which is simply not a good thing in some situations. Apart from the impolite behavior that some people might consider picking up the phone and looking at it, it has made Apple by killing phones with Touch ID For example, it will also put a stop to "copying" at school, for whom it will now be much more difficult to unlock phones under the desk. On the other hand, the “field of view” of the sensors for Touch ID In my opinion, it is really very good and will record your face even if you are slightly off.

StilloneI used it a long time ago on my iPhone 6 Touch ID, now I'm getting used to it Face ID from XS:

I Face ID but it has a lot of pluses. Even such a stupid thing as checking the phone in the morning, which we usually do while still half asleep, is easier thanks to unlocking it via the face. After all, we can turn on the brain only a few seconds later, with a bit of exaggeration. Moreover, the phone has no problem even when I try to unlock it with half my head buried in the pillow, which I consider a big plus. But leaving aside such "stupidities", I have to admit that browsing the iPhone with Face ID It is simply more convenient because whenever you come across a website that requires a password, you can access it practically immediately without having to do anything extra – in the case of Touch ID For example, placing your thumb on a button. It may seem silly, but it definitely ensures a smoother transition through the system.

Compromise? Why not

So what result do I get as a long-term user? Touch ID is it coming out? Probably such that both technologies have something in common and I don't see a clear favorite in either of them, although I would lean slightly to the side of Face ID. In the end, I would prefer to hold a phone in my hand that would have both Face ID, So i Touch IDwhich I could combine with each other and at certain times always use the one that would suit me more. But whether Apple committed to implementation Touch ID Whether it will be added to the display sometime in the future or not is currently up in the air. But I would definitely approve of this move.
