The Chinese city of Chengdu no longer wants to rely on the good old moon. That's why it's hoping to develop a better, brighter artificial substitute that would perform better.onem could replace all public lighting. The idea was presented by Chairman Wu Chunfeng, who is in charge of the local science and technology institute. This moon replacement should then be eight times brighter, with the ability to provide this lighting to an area 10 to 80 kilometers wide. The implementation of this idea should begin in 2020.
