The Apple company registered another very interesting patent application a few days ago. However, this time it does not discuss upcoming improvements for hardware products, but rather an application for travel that should be, so to speak, "all-in-one"one". But it is more likely varianta that the patent describes a way to improve the current Apple Maps. Apple in fact, it already owns similar patent applications, which could indicate the arrival of a similar application, from 2013 and 2015.

Again, the text of the patent itself is not specific and can sound quite confusing. "Methods, systems, and devices, including computer programs encoded on a computer's storage medium, could obtain local location information about routes stored in a user's device application and simultaneously identify the destination of the trip based on the detected data. The destination specified by the user is saved, this data is then able to communicate with another application, which retrieves geographic points and local information for the route to the destination. The application then reacts in real time to the user's interaction."
The patent appears to be a dynamic search that would be able to search for relevant information based on a specific location in the location of the user's chosen destination. Something similar is now possible. If there is an appointment in the calendar, Apple Maps provide information about transportation or the opening hours of local restaurants.
This is how the graphic form of the patent looks like:
But the patent application goes on to talk about travel data that could be shared with other people's devices. Therefore, if there is a mention of a meeting and venue in one user's calendar, the user interface can recognize, for example, a passenger in a car, to whom, of course, after the appropriate permissions of both parties, will provide the relevant information about the destination of the trip to the iPhone. The technology could also work in such a way that the user would be notified that someone is driving behind them based on their chosen destination.
First, let them put together satellite images, basically the entire Podkrkonoší is black and white and mostly under clouds, I have already pointed this out several times directly from the maps, they have the materials available, you just need to ask... Unfortunately, their ballast cannot be bypassed in some applications (Strava, Endomondo, Garmin Connect, Geocaching…) This simply doesn't belong on maps in 2018. Then I'll travel through time with them.
It will automatically show the driver's destination to the passengers...well, enough horror movies would miss the point ;-)
jj George already wrote it and I'll just join. It is much more important to improve the map backgrounds, they are the absolute worst that I know. If they are not black and white, as George writes, then they are in desperate resolution in a gray-green shade. Just disgusting and practically useless satellite images. It's nice, isn't it Apple it adds various new features to the maps, but honestly, it's completely useless for me and it strongly reminds me of the new versions of macOS, where every year the biggest new developments are colorful emojis...
that word will play a role in the future, in the new update I will be just an emoji anyway 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
Are there already numbers? Otherwise, it's still maps for 💩
It's scary what can be patented...it's wrong
