The future of the transport industry is in autonomous technologies, when means of transport will be controlled and driven by themselves and we will be able to devote ourselves to other activities. At least that's how the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) sees it, because it has approved new regulations that will fundamentally change everything about autonomous vehicles. And in this case, it is not only about cars, the changes will affect not only passenger transport but also freight and rail transport. As a result, the new regulations simplify the testing of autonomous vehicles throughout the US and free them from the obligations of the classic ones, such as mirrors, steering wheels and other unnecessary things, without which, however, autonomous vehicles cannot operate under the current modification.
