The fourth generation of a very popular product has been available for a few weeks now Apple WatchThe watch itself has a much higher performance.oneIt has a larger display than the previous generation. But will the battery be able to keep this beautiful piece of technology alive long enough? Apple in the official specification, they claim that the device is able to run for an average of around eighteen hours. However, this raises the question of whether this watch will stand with us even during a longer working day.
Check out the fourth generation Apple Watch in a gallery:
Magazine phonearena.com performed the best test possible - simply new Apple Watch tested, from which he deduced the final results. According to their claim, watches are capable of far more endurance than Apple mentions, namely 36 to 48 hours without charging. As a result, undemanding users will not have to recharge the device every night, as it will comfortably last until the next day. The magazine documented the whole experiment and provided beautiful information about the battery (and the editor's life).
One day with Apple Watch 4:
- 7:45 – Battery is on 100%
- 8:45 – The editor went out into the countryside to take a few photos with several phones and spent a total of an hour and a half walking. Then he got in the car and drove toancemail, where he received several notifications from social networks.
- 12:00 – After lunch, the battery is available 91%.
- 14:30 – After a few more notifications, the battery is low 85%.
- 17:00 – The editor spent time atancelectrical work on the computer. The watch's capacity has dropped to 76%.
- 21:30 – The journey home, dinner and exercise followed. The battery is in a state of s 65%.
- 23:00 – The editor goes to bed,oneThe battery status is 57%.
This means that on a normal day, the watch ended up with more than half of the battery. Assuming that their durability doesn't change much overnight, the user can continue to wear them the next day and the battery should last without any problems. The durability is thus roughly comparable with Apple Watch Series 3, which can also handle two days of operation without major problems. It is clear that when listening to music, using the watch for calls, or even using GPS and LTE, the watch will have significantly worse endurance, but you should almost always get through a day with it without major problems.
I have a Watch 3. Last night at 20pm I charged it. 100%. Overnight on the wrist, measuring heart rate and sleep. All day measuring heart rate, ten thousand steps, SMS notifications and incoming call ringtones. Several spoken IMsssge. About half an hour browsing various menus and settings. Occasional glance at the calendar. Reading a few emails, etc. After 25 hours I'm at 75%. What two of my friends told me is that the Watch 4 will last less than the Watch 3. After your experience, I'm sure of it. 100%.
I find it quite strange, I've certainly never had any AWs show 25% after 75 hours of use
Now I have them on my hand for 40 hours and they show me 51%. That's decent.
I also find it strange that aw3 never lasted this long for me,.. max But I charge them for 1,5 days when they have 50-60-70% and in the winter the battery goes down very quickly and after the new major update...
But that's all turned off, isn't it?
I charged the AW3 in the evening, left it on the table, so they shouldn't eat anything, in the morning they had 85%.
A 15% drop overnight is strange. I personally observe a drop of about 3-2% on my AW4 overnight. Maybe if I were you, I would try a complaint or something similar. Without incoming notifications and similar things, they definitely shouldn't drop by 15% in a few hours.
I use them as I write in the first post.
I switched from series 3 to series 4 and the battery life is more or less the same. From the morning of the first day to the evening of the second. Regarding the nightly heart rate and sleep measurement. Usually they use 35-40% per day from morning to evening, it's a lot about the settings. I have the sound turned off, but the vibration and brightness are on maxI have it. Plus, I get a really large amount of notifications per day. On the weekend, when there's less and I don't exercise, I get about 25-30% from morning to evening.
For watches, GPS has a big impact... it depends application and whether or not GPS is enabled, I can discharge them in either 20 hours or even 40 hours without excessive use
I don't understand why everyone is concerned about battery life. I have a charger next to my bed, when I go to lie down, I just plug the watch in and it doesn't charge at all. nestI'm concerned with whether the watch will last two or three days. If someone has a problem with putting it on the charger every night, they should buy a classic watch for 12, where the battery can last ten years today.
Well, that's exactly the problem, I wanted the watch mainly because of the super alarm clock, and the fact that I had to charge it overnight made it meaningless...
Does anyone know when the next wave of AW4 will be?? I made a pre-order on alga but it's still out of stock
nj Alza… In the last 4 years I have pre-ordered there 3 times with the hope of having iPhone or Watch quickly. never once so nesthello. was always online Apple store faster. and the best was their way when iPhone X gave the first brew to charity :D
I used the Series 3 for 10 months, now I have the Series 4 and the battery life is very similar with the same settings. I don't see any major difference from previous versions. So for me, given the larger display, definitely a thumbs up.
I have a series 3 and I still use them at work because I mainly use e-mail and they last me 2 days just fine 🙂 It's just true that I don't exercise 🤔😂
I have the same thing as PetrS. With the AW 3, the battery lasts me 3 days (I always only have a few % left at the end of the day, but it lasts). It is true that I use them more as notifications than actively, but compared to the 2nd series, I also say that the 3rd series pleasantly pleased me and my endurance increased by 1 day...
How is it with Audiobooks and watch OS5?
Do I still have to convert it to music and then make a playlist and sync it? I know about Audible, but I don't use it audioI have the books in the app. books…Does anyone know?
