Charging the new iPhone XS and XS Max Max has been a hot topic in recent days. After many users started reporting that their new Apple phones were freezing when plugged in Lightningu does not charge into the charging port when the display is off, another rather unpleasant news has surfaced. iPhone XS, XS Max and XR are not supported by two very popular Belkin docks.

You can't charge your new iPhones at the dock Valet and not even on the dock PowerHousewhich, in addition to LightningThey also have a magnetic charger for Apple Watch. Belkin itself confirmed the incompatibility on its website, but unfortunately did not provide any further explanation. However, speculation began on foreign forums that this could be an intention on the part of the manufacturer. Last week, he introduced a new charging station, which can be described as an upgraded PowerHouse. So it's possible that by ending support for new iPhones on old models, Belkin is trying to boost sales of the new model. However, this is, of course, speculation, which is not supported by anything.
So if you've been looking for a new charging dock for iPhone XS or XS Max, Valet whether PowerHouse they are not the right choice, at least for now. Of course, you don't have to worry about incompatibility in the case of iPhone X and older. The same applies to Apple Watch, which you charge in all versions with a classic magnetic charger.
Let them go to 🍑, after installation IOS12 in my car, even the Belkin cable and charger for the 8plus don't work :(, does anyone have the same problem?
Rather, I had a problem with the wireless charger from Belkin. In the evening before I went to sleep, I put the Xko on it with 2% battery and in the morning I woke up and it was still 2%. Then I had to quickly chase the percentages with the iPad charger for half an hour.
I'd say he's not entirely to blame for this Apple
If you're running into Charge Gate, it's already been fixed in Beta. So the correction for the public will be soon.
And what makes them incompatible? It's been that way since Applu once certified, so why doesn't it work on new iPhones? Is it software-locked, or is Belkin just putting a sticker on it only for iPhone X and that will put an end to it?
Unfortunately, that's the case, I found out on Sunday and now I have dock practically useless :/ I don't understand who cut it when Lightning looks the same for years...
So I can throw the charger into the channel, this shouldn't have happened. For half a year I thought about whether I should buy the shop and bought it, it looks nice on the table. Everything is gone now. I am at the beginning.
I got it iPhone XS and the charger work normally for me and from a technical point of view I don't see any reason why it shouldn't. It's like charging in the car or via USB in computers stops working.... Stupid. The power supply is simply 5V, 1A = 5W.
Lightning and everything is the same. However Apple for new ones iPhone allowed the device to draw much more power from the charger than was previously possible drive. So typically at a very low battery level (when the phone tries to take as much power as possible for a quick charge) the phone "eats" the charger so much that not all the circuits can handle it. For this reason, the safety chip disconnects the charger and the phone does not charge to prevent damage to the charger or the phone.
It can charge the body just fine, but when some factors are combined, it simply disconnects and does not charge. For this reason, the manufacturer does not guarantee correct functionality and does not mention compatibility.
The "new" models of these chargers have modified electronics that are guaranteed to handle even these new models with large one-time consumption.
And further Apple in some of the next updates iOS adjust the charge so slightly.
It's not pleasant, but I think this procedure is fairer and safer than firing a charger or device. Both are American companies and they prefer to play it safe rather than say "maybe".
.. a similar system is also in two lightning Belkin version docku.
If you put two in the charger iPhone, everything is ok. If two iPads sometimes charge only when "the battery runs out of capacity", other times charging is disconnected or behaves nestIt is not certified for this use and therefore the manufacturer does not list it as a possible combination of use.
And yes, there are people who just think of trying it :-), so tried personally.
By that you mean to say that it must not be inserted into a normal USB in the computer at all? :-)
No, USB is the solution, these chargers simply encountered something that they are not compatible with in their current state. Maybe a future update will help. iOS Where should this be solved, also with regard to the problem of locking and not charging, or will they remain incompatible and will it be solved? onen "new model".
I can only confirm, I have to buy a new one 😒
I also have a problem with charging. It charges for a while and then doesn't. I hope this is the case. iOS 12.1 will fix it and it will work. Or do you have any recommendations for another one?
So they are disgusting 🤮🤮🤮

So Apple already edited in iOS12.1 and both dockThey already work fine on XS and XR.
Both tested both solo phone and with a watch
And everything is pink again :)
