It's been a few days since the new operating system for our Apple computers was released - macOS 10.14 Mojave. It is known primarily for its dark mode, but also for the new App Storem. If you want to check if your Mac is up to date or if you want to turn on automatic system updates, you now need to go to your Mac's settings. On our Mac or MacBookus macOS 10.14 Mojave click in the upper left corner on icon Apple login. We select an option from the drop-down menu that appears System Preferences… A window with preferences will open, in which you must click on the icon Software update, which is located in the third row. After clicking this tab, a search for a new version of the operating system will be performed automatically.

If you want to turn on automatic macOS updates, just check the option at the bottom of the window Automatically update your Mac. Automatic updates have several options in macOS that you can choose according to your preferences. Click the button to view these options Advanced… in the lower right corner of the window. You can choose from the following options:
- Check for updates
- Download newly available updates
- Install macOS updates
- Install app updates from App Store
- Install system files and security updates
By default, all these options are checked. So if you want to keep your Mac up-to-date and secure, I suggest you leave the values at their default settings.
