The last few weeks have been extremely difficult for Elon Musk, which was mainly caused by numerous lawsuits in connection with his initiative to privatize Tesla. After konedecision on theoneWith the company on the public market, the turmoil surrounding the electric car producer has partially calmed down, and therefore the world of innovation and technology can focus on other, but related, facts. From Tesla, we move to the second element, which operates under the direction of philanthropist Elon Musk, his company oriented towards space programs. Planned flights to the planet Mars are gaining more and more attention, which is also related to the recent event called "Mars Society Convention 2018", which discussed the program including Musk's vision of inhabiting Mars. The SpaceX spaceships themselves should greatly help with this fact.

In addition to transporting the first colonizers and related equipment to the surface of the red planet, the spaceships should serve as the first dwellings and shelters. According to the latest information and plans, the ships with the designation BFR - Big F*****g Rocket should remain on Mars. So far, the program includes 6 planned flights. The first ones are to take place in two years, and they will be rockets without a human crew. In 2024, another pair of unmanned vessels should be launched, which will be joined by two rockets, but this time with a crew on board. Despite the likely delays of the project, which Elon announced a few months ago, it seems that the company is dead serious about the journey to Mars in the next decade.

SpaceX's BFR rockets should serve as outposts for the first colonizers of the red planet.

The most discussed topic regarding this project is the technical side of colonization. The rockets should ensure the creation of a functioning and self-sufficient colony, thanks to which researchers will have access to the basic means of life, as well as the technological conveniences for exploration and operation on Mars. A team of experts composed of engineers from NASA, SpaceX and ESA has probably already started working on the potential development of the elements needed to secure the aforementioned goal. However, there are still a lot of unfinished business in the project, such as the construction of the rocket colony itself, the support of vital functions, the extraction of materials or the joint cooperation of ships. Considering this fact, according to forecasts, the project should be postponed for another month/year. Further details will be revealed in the official announcement of SpaceX.
