The user who decided to put this iPhone prototype in auction, hails from Portland, Oregon. The person in question has not yet clarified the origin of the device being sold, but the photos show signs that - just like the operating system - match other prototypes of the first generation iPhone. The seller states that the device he is selling dates back to 2006 and was "handcrafted in Cupertino, California." The device weighs 144,5 grams, which significantly exceeds the weight of the official version of the first generation iPhone, which was 135 grams.

On the back of the iPhone itself, we can see data related to the transmission bands, and under the logo of the bitten apple there is information about the version. According to the seller, the device runs "multiple versions of test software" including OS X. The person in question also lists the most significant differences between the aforementioned prototype and the classic version of the first-generation iPhone in his advertisement. These include, for example, a completely different interior of the phone, including the battery or Wi-Fi component.onent. iPhone prototypes also often state that they are handmade in Cupertino – they are not mass-produced in China, as is the case with standard versions. Prototypes tend to be heavier than “clean” versions and were made a little earlier – for first-generation iPhones, this is usually around 2006. At the end of the ad, the seller emphasizes that prototypes are very rare and it is not easy to get such a model. The price of the mentioned model started at $10200, but it can be expected to increase.
