You liked the Touch Bar on your MacBookbut it seems too small? Then you will probably like the following concept MacBookin the Pro. In it we see a completely new design, where the virtual keyboard is moved to the very edge of the computer, above it is a much larger Touch Bar and at first glance it is missing trackpadHowever, it can also be displayed on the keyboard, thus covering the directional arrows.

The main attraction would probably be the larger Touch Bar, which suddenly offers many more options. It is possible, for example, to play a video or display photos from Instagram. However, like many concepts, this one is only focused on design, and Furkan Kasap, who created it, completely neglects usability. Without a doubt, the biggest pitfall of a virtual keyboard is the feel of typing.
Of course, haptic response is one option that gives the fingers at least a partial response during typing, but a flat virtual keyboard cannot replace the ability to place your fingers on the keyboard as we are used to. Everyone has a specific position of their fingers while typing on their keyboard, and it is precisely the feeling of where a given key ends that helps them to do this. This feeling would be very difficult to simulate, but nothing is impossible and according to several patents Apple is already working on a similarly functioning virtual keyboard.
The whole concept therefore seems rather unrealistic and the only thing that most users would like from it is probably a larger Touch Bar. Although it certainly wouldn't have to take up as much space as in the concept that you can view in the gallery or video. How do you like it? In your opinion, is the virtual keyboard a technology that we will see in the future? Let us know in the comments!
Some things will never be better tactile than physical.. one of them is the laptop keyboard. I could be wrong, maybe one day it will be at such a level that it will be better this way (as it was with phones), but currently I would not change the keyboard buttons for virtual ones.
Well, I guess I'll just hope that my 15-inch MBP Mid 2014 never goes to silicon heaven 😂
The pointless Touch Bar already makes me drink blood. It has nothing to do with ergonomics, just a design whim. If they really came up with something like that, I would probably bite the bullet Windows and looked at a competitor's computer.
So some people see it as a design whim. Some people find it easier to work with and use it often. There are similar things on iPhonech, see. double-tap on HB or on the bottom edge of the iPhone X to pull icons within reach. Some use it, some don't.
For me, I'm quite used to it and it's fine.
So, there was already a dual-display ACER, a beautiful design, but as soon as you want to do something on the display keyboard, for example, play something or work in OFFICE so I'd rather connect an external keyboard, it just doesn't work
It's easier to stretch the touchpad across the entire width and use an OLED display instead of a glass - and we have a huge touchpad and touchbar in one.
