As every year, this year we will see a certain increase in performance and battery life thanks to the new processors in the new iPhones. But the question at the moment remains how significant these improvements will be. However, the MacWorld portal focused on solving exactly this question. In trying to estimate this year's performance increase, he relied on reports from processor manufacturer TSMC and other available information, thanks to which he managed to create a fairly accurate estimate of the increase in performance. So what can we look forward to?

Last year brought a really decent performance increase for the A11 Bionic processor, thanks to which the chipset ranks among the top even now. This year's A12 chipset also boasts a very decent performance jump, which should be roughly 25 to 30% higher than last year's predecessor. In the Geekbench 4 benchmarks, we should get from the average 10 points of the A500 chip to some 11 points for the A13 when testing multiple cores.

We should expect the new A12 processors only in premium models with an OLED display:

In addition to an increase in performance, we should also expect a lower energy demand, which will result in longer battery life. MacWorld talks specifically about a significant extension of the standby mode - that is, the mode when you are not using the phone (for example, at night when you are sleeping).

Overall, this year's processors should be a lot more sophisticated again, and they will move iPhones a lot further. To the exact numbers by which Apple he likes to brag, but we'll have to wait for the official presentation. But we are only a few weeks away from that. So if you're hungry for a new iPhone, your wait is almost over.
