Very interesting collectibles appear in the world from time to time Apple products for which some people are willing to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars just to expand their collection dedicated to the company with the bitten apple in its logo. These are exactly the lovers Applu will certainly be interested in the upcoming auction of a working computer Apple-1, which is scheduled for next month. And that there is really something to stand for.

Computer Apple-1 saw the light of day already in 1976 and, as its name suggests, it was the first machine assembled by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. They built exactly 200 of them at the time, and roughly a third of them have survived to the present day, while many of them are no longer functional at all or are only functional thanks to certain modifications, which of course reduce their price.

The machine, which will be auctioned in Boston at the end of September, can boast of a truly perfect condition. You won't find any modifications on it that would lower its price. Experts rate its condition at 8,5/10 (with 10 being the best), due to which its price should rise to roughly 300 to 400 thousand dollars, which translates to 6 to 600 crowns. And just for the sake of interest, the price of a computer in 000 was "only" 8 dollars, i.e. about 800 crowns.

If you win the auction, all this can be yours:

Does the price a buyer will likely have to pay for this collectible seem crazy? That's still nothing. High sums simply belong to auctions of similar pieces. For example, in 2016 another computer was auctioned Apple-1 in excellent condition for exactly 815 thousand dollars. But it was so valuable mainly because of the basic fact that it was a model that was never sold to the public and was not part of any known production cycle. It was probably a computer that Jobs or Wozniak built for their own use, for example for testing.
