If you've recently set up a smart home and tried to make it as economical as possible, you've probably heard of the TRÅDFRI products offered by the Swedish retail chain IKEA. These are mostly smart bulbs that you can control using your HomeKitfor example using your iPhone. Their main weapon is their price, which is very favorable compared to the competition. And this line of smart toys will apparently grow by another thing in October.

A leaked image that appears to be from IKEA's internal product database has surfaced. The image, published by Swedish tech blog Teknikveckan, shows what appears to be a smart plug compatible with HomeKitem. It should reportedly cost $10, which is around 220 crowns in the basic version. It will probably allow you to turn the power on and off or set a certain timing. If you pay another $5, or around 110 crowns, you should also get a remote control for the socket, which you can use to control it if you don't have your smartphone at hand.one.
Of course, at the moment it is not possible to say with 100% certainty whether this is real information and we cannot be certain whether it will arrive on the Czech market. However, the fact is that TRÅDFRI products are quite popular worldwide, so IKEA could try to expand them even more. And the new outlet could help her with that.
Did you know that IKEA also has its own application to help you choose furniture right at home?:
And what about you? Have you already tried products from the TRÅDFRI range, or do you prefer "proven" brands in the smart product market? And if not, how did IKEA impress you with its smart toys?
Compared to Philips HUE, the IKEA solution is of lower quality, less reliable and less user friendly. In any case, considering the price, it is a very interesting solution. variawhich I have in several rooms.
I agree, I just want to ask, are you also observing Ikea's problems with Homekit (disconnecting, reinstalling devices, etc.)?
For me, it's just the failure rate of individual bulbs. I haven't noticed any disconnection yet, but with IOS 12 the application does not work at all yet. Since it is a beta, I am not addressing it yet. If you want to advise on anything regarding HoneKit or Applu as such, I am available. Zdeněk
Hello, you write that you are willing to give advice, so I will ask. I have no experience with home kits and I don't want to give €300 and then find out that it doesn't work.
Can it be set so that the door sensor sends a message not that it was opened/closed, but for example in 15 minutes that the door is still open?
It happens on our garage door, as 5 people open it, that it stays open and I happen to find out at midnight.
It's very interesting and the competition is expensive, but maybe they can measure consumption in an overview, which will interest us a lot.. great for me, just go for it
A jak je to se svitivosti zarovek? ja chci mit doma hodne svetla, takze mam povetsinou usporne zarivky, pripadne cele LED panely, ale jednotlive LED zarovky maji dost mizernou svitivost, tedy alespon na papire … nemate nekdo zkusenosti s necim co sviti minias small as a 100W bulb...
Unfortunately, until Siri they won't learn Czech, it's not that interesting. I don't know if the smart elements from IKEA have their own energy consumption measurement and the ability to add up the consumption of individual elements. I think that's where the big future lies...
