Facebook is committed to transparency and is introducing a new verification process to help confirm that site administrators are who they say they are. Facebook reported on the process on his blog Facebook Business. The verification process was first applied to pages with a large number of fans in the United States, with page managers required to confirm their primary location in the country and add two-factor authentication to the account. Facebook states that the goal of these security steps is to prevent users from using the adminifake or abused account on the website.
