Charging pad AirPower to us Apple presented already last September. Additionally, we've been assured that we'll see a release sometime during 2018. However, it's already well past the halfway point and we still don't know any more precise release date or approximate price.

However, according to the Chinese website Chongdiantou, which claims to have inside information, the price of the pad will AirPower costs around 1.000 Chinese yuan. That's roughly $145 at the current exchange rate. Converted to Czech crowns, the price of the charging pad would be less than 3.000 CZK.
Of course, we have to take into account the standard increase, so we could expect a price of around four thousand at Czech merchants. However, this is still less than the original assumption of more than 5.000 CZK. Another source, Mark Gurman, claims that Apple will try to issue AirPower by the end of September. So everything indicates that we will see confirmation of the price and specific date at the traditional September Keynote.

Compatibility with AirPower is currently confirmed for the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X, as well as for Apple Watch Series 3 and AirPods using the new charging dock. Logically, this also offers confirmation of compatibility with all new iPhones, which we will probably see in September, and Apple Watch Series 4. The pad is unique in that it can charge multiple devices at once and Apple is trying to make this technology part of the Qi standard. This would also open the door for third-party manufacturers to introduce their own pads with multi-device charging support.
