If you're tired of the heat for several days and you've decided to stay home on Friday afternoon to recover, I have a tip for you. You can try cleaning and freeing up your iPhone's storage using the tricks you'll read in this article. This option will be most useful if you own iPhone with the smallest possible storage. Anyway, I think that even people who have more storage will find it useful and will be happy for every extra gigabyte of free space. So let's take a look at the procedures you need to follow to properly clean up your iPhone's storage.

Postpone applications

The first option you have to clean up your storage is to use the App Snooze feature. Snooze apps will automatically "snooze" apps you haven't used in a while:

"When you put an application aside, the space occupied by the application will be freed up. The related documents and data will be preserved. If the application is available in App Store, you will get your data back when you reinstall it,” describes App Suspension Apple.

In practice, it works like this: you install a game – i.e. the application itself is installed and various data and files are then created for it as you play (for example, your game progress). If you decide to postpone the game, the application is uninstalled, but the application data remains on your phone. This simply means that you will not lose your saved game progress and you will not have to re-download a large amount of data that you need to start the game. All you need to do is re-download the “launcher” application from App Store.

Manually snooze applications

On ours iOS we will switch to the device Settings, we will open the menu here In general. Then we click on the option Storage: iPhone (iPad) and wait for the storage usage graph to load. After that we'll go down below, where you will find a list of all installed applications. The application we want tochat defer, we'll click and select the option Postpone the application. We will then confirm this option once more. in the case of Fortnite, I managed to release approx 140 MB places, which is certainly enough for at least a few photos.

If you decide to reinstall the application, you can do so either by classic "re-downloading" from App Store or simply click on the deferred app icon on the home screen. The app will start downloading immediately.

Auto snooze applications

You can also not download the applicationchat automatically. Just go to Settings and opened the possibility In general. Here we click on the option Storage: iPhone. Again, we wait for the storage usage graph to load and then click on Show all. Here we click on the blue text Turn on at option Put away unused.

If you'd like to turn off auto-snooze apps, go to Settings -> iTunes and App Store -> Postpone unused apps.

Deleting the "Recently Deleted" album

In my opinion, anyone who has iPhone, so he takes photos. Of course, these don't have to be professional photos. Personally, for example, when taking photos of anything, I prefer to take multiple photos so that I can choose the best one later. As a result, I take, for example, 20 photos, keep three and delete the rest. The rest, i.e. 17 photos, are saved in the Recently Deleted album and these photos are stored here for up to 30 days. Over time, this album can fill up like hell and suddenly take up several gigabytes of free space on your device. Fortunately, you can easily delete this entire album.

Let's open Settings and select the option In general, here then Storage: iPhone (iPad). We will wait until the storage usage graphic is loaded and at the column Album "Recently Deleted" we click on the blue button Empty. Another window will open, which warns about the permanent deletion of the selected items. If we have definitely decided to delete these photos from the Recently Deleted album, click on Delete from iPhone.

Overall I recommend you go through all the tips that you iPhone when opening the Storage box: iPhone (iPad) will. This is, for example, consider deleting videos that take up a lot of space and or for example deleting large attachments from the Messages appIf you follow the steps given to you iPhone I recommend it, you will definitely get a lot of extra space.

Deleting the cache Safari

You can also get a few megabytes by using iOS device, clear the cache and data from the browser Safari. I warn you that after clearing the cache, Safari will log you out of all accounts and you will have to re-enter both usernames and passwords.

Let's open Settings and we go down until we come across a column Safari. Again we go all the way down and open the blue text option – Delete site history and dataA window will appear, warning us that the history will be deleted, cookies and other data that Safari used for browsing. The history will be deleted from all devices logged into your account on iCloudu. If we want to clear the cache, press the option Clear history and data.

Connect your device to iTunes

This option may seem quite absurd, but it works like a charm. If none of the above tricks helped you, the last option is to try iPhone or iPad to your computer and launch iTunes. Simply leave the device connected for about 10 minutes, then unplug it. iTunes will “recalculate” the System item in the storage and you will suddenly be able to enjoy a few extra gigabytes. In my case, after unplugging my iPhone 6s 64 GB decreased item System originals 21,72 GB to 9,33 GB. That's a difference of almost 13 GB, which is really enough for a simple recalculation.

I hope you've managed to free up as many gigabytes of storage space as possible with these tips and tricks. So if you've decided to stay home today, you've created space for countless more photos that you'll definitely be taking on the following sunny days. So you don't have to worry about running out of space when you're taking pictures of your adventures. iPhone out of nowhere it wrote that it didn't have enough free storage space.
