A woman from China who encountered a similar problem a few days ago could tell her story.

The incident, which took place on a busy road in Shanghai, was recorded by a camera inside the car. In the video of it, it is clearly visible that the iPhone suddenly bursts into flames caused by a defective battery, which immediately inflates and detaches the display from the body of the phone. The phone then smokes slightly for a while, which is just a harbinger of more flames that will engulf it completely in a few seconds. Although the fire is not at all intense, of course it scared the driver very much. She therefore stopped the car and immediately left it to avoid any possible injury.
Her husband was also traveling in the car with the driver, who said that no one was doing anything with him at the time of the phone explosion. The phone was also not charged, music was not played through it, and the navigation was not turned on. The battery explosion came really out of the blue.
